Announcing a new meeting for Manchester Mountain Bikers!
What: Ride around the Lakes: Leader Mr FLUFF

Who should come: Hardcore riders only SKill level ***1/2 Fitness ***1/2
Why: Note: This is a route for experienced riders. It's not really
suitable for novices.
Meeting Description: For those of you that think about Grizedale as being nothing but dull firetracks, this ride will turn your world upside down! The ride length is 30km, 4.5 hours. Meet at Grizedale Visitor centre at 10.45am. R2R at 11am
Parking is ?4 for the day. (Drive time from MCr is 1hr 45 mins)
It has techical descents, fast descents, grass descents, riverbed descents & singletrack descents less than a foot wide in places (really! - and I don't mean ruts). It has a very challenging technical XC singletrack section and the ride links together really well so that almost all of the major climbs are on firetrack/road and despite being long - all rideable. I guarantee that this ride will leave you buzzing, exhausted and wanting to ride it again the following weekend!
Come and say hello to The Fox and the superb Esthwaite descent, see if you can get down Devils Gallop or traverse the Grime Pit without a foot down, ride the Breasty Haw (?!), take in views of Coniston, blast down Lawson Park descent (past John Ruskin's old house) to Coniston Water and finish with a downhill in a river (weather dependant)!
