I have a Sun recumbent for road rides and a Diamondback Outlook for off-road.
Basic skills for off-road, never done any skinny trails where injury may result from going off the trail. I know how to power through sand, but don't really know how to handle skinny, dangerous trails.
Something at least 3 feet wide where I won't get killed if I go off the trail. Would enjoy riding through forest terrain, but am willing to do bare desert stuff too.
Sahara/Decatur but I have a car rack so I can drive to wherever.
“ Positive, enthusiastic instructors, with attention given to every individual, gives this meetup a very welcoming ambience. ”
“ Really great people, warm, friendly folks with lots of ethnic diversity. Very interesting meetings trading cultural icons and viewpoints. Everyone has a super positive attitude, that learning English is a no-brainer. Really, the Korean and Japanese members have mastered those languages, which are tougher than English. Join whether to teach or to learn English, and in 2 meetings its really fun with friends. ”
“ Others should join because this meetup is serious about teaching and practicing Mandarin. We have many members with wide range of expertise, from native Chinese speakers to novices who have never seen or heard a Chinese word in their life, and everyone is enthusiastic about helping other members. I have 12 pages of double-column sheets of Mandarin chracters, with pinyin equivalents with tone marks, and English translations. The documents are in PDF format and are free with membership. New members of any level of proficiency are welcome because there will be someone close to your level who knows a little more than you to coach you, and you'll learn by practicing. Mandarin is a four-tone language, and practicing regularly is necessary to maintain any level of proficiency. ”
“ Community of friendly folks sharing their enthusiasm for a great sport. ”
“ People should join this meetup if they want a community of friendly people with the same positive attitude towards sharing fresh air and sunshine with friends. The people are what makes a meetup. There were great people there, and as far as I'm concerned, that makes it a success. ”
“ Because it has the potential to provide a stimulating evening of intelligent conversation for everyone present. ”
“ A great, friendly community of people with an "everybody is welcome" vibe. A really warm bunch of super good people. ”
“ Ping pong is a cure for depression, a vaccination against apathy, a tune-up for eye-hand coordination, and FUN FUN FUN TIL MY DADDY TAKES MY T-BIRD AWAY! ”
“ Good job Steve Barchetti for coming up with all the good meetups. ”
“ It's time to restore the Constitution as the supreme social contract of America. ”

“ Cya manana Smokey! ”
“ It was great meeting you last night as well. The rest of the night was fun but Tao was busy as usual. See you on thursday :) ”
“ Smokey, Thanks for bringing the poems. I got a chance to read it at home. I particularly like the one by John Gallespie Magee, Jr. It's going up next to my paragliding poster in my classroom and I'm sending it to our paragliding club in Korea as well. See you at the next meeting. :) ”
