Hi All

We're going to have Mountain Bike tomorrow, Sunday morning.

Weatherguessers are forecasting 48 and SUNNY

The short notice is going to be typical for some activities.

The best riding area near Chicago is generally known as Palos Forest Preserve and is located 30 minutes S.W. of downtown Chicago next to Willow Springs suburb. It can be reached via I 55 and La Grange Rd. Or Archer Ave and 95th.

We'll meet at the first parking lot of Bullfrog Lake, one of several preserves in the Palos Forest. Just south of 95th on Wolf Road, about 1 mile west of 104th / Flavin / Willow Springs Rd. and just east of Archer Ave [ 171 ].

It will help if bikers arrive around 11:30 to prepare to ride at 12:00 AM

Our ride event will start at 12:00 PM. and last around 2 hours. Even if it has rained the day before or lightly raining that day we can still ride the multi-use trails.

What you'll need;

A suitable mountain bike in good working order.
Physical fitness since the terrain is moderately hilly

Helmet

A windshirt or very light nylon jacket

Water for the ride and after

A willingness to hang with faster riding.

Meetup RSVP area has comment box and lets start using the message board.

I'm hoping we get some more leaders and we'll be riding throughout the area, even out of state to Kettle Morraine.

Later we'll get into cross country skiing and snow hiking.
